Tropical Boozy Boba Twist
Equipment
- 1 Saucepan
- 1 Cocktail Shaker
Ingredients
- 2 oz Rum
- 2 oz Aqua Fresca Juice
- 1-2 oz Almond Milk
- 0.5-1 oz Chamomile Tea Syrup
- Better Boba Classic Brown Sugar Tapioca Pearls (Add as much boba as your heart desires!)
Instructions
First, prepare the Chamomile Tea Syrup:
- Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add 2 chamomile tea bags to the hot water. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes to infuse the water with chamomile flavor.
- After steeping, remove the tea bags from the saucepan, pressing gently to extract any remaining liquid.
- Return the saucepan to low heat and gradually stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar. Continue stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Once the sugar has dissolved, increase the heat to medium and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will help thicken the syrup slightly.
- After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the chamomile tea syrup cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, transfer the syrup to a clean and airtight container. You can strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any chamomile residue if desired.
Finishing the Boozy Boba:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of rum, 2 oz of aqua fresca juice, 1-2 oz of almond milk, and 0.5-1 oz of chamomile tea syrup. Adjust the quantities to suit your taste preferences, whether you prefer a stronger or lighter flavor profile.
- Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously to mix all the ingredients together and create a harmonious blend of flavors.
- Prepare a serving glass by adding a generous amount of the cooked and cooled Better Boba Classic Brown Sugar Tapioca Pearls to the bottom.
- Pour the Tropical Twist Boozy Boba mixture from the shaker into the glass, ensuring that the boba pearls are evenly distributed throughout the drink.
- Grab a wide and sturdy reusable straw, allowing you to savor the chewy pearls and sip on the delightful concoction simultaneously.
- Sip and enjoy your tropical escape in a glass
Remember to enjoy this boozy boba drink responsibly and savor every delightful sip of the Tropical Boozy Boba Twist. Cheers!
For a non-alcoholic version, you can easily transform this Tropical Twist by omitting the rum and increasing the amount of aqua fresca juice and almond milk to your liking. Since this drink requires a batch of Chamomile Tea Syrup, you can always go one drink with and one drink without. After all, our boba is the star of the show!
